The Lisle Organization
Lisle is incorporated in New York as a non profit educational organization. The business office is located in Leander
Texas. The Lisle Board directs the activities of the organization. An Annual Meeting is held, usually in the fall.
Membership
Lisle willingly involves all individuals who are committed to creating a world in which all individuals
are treated with respect and equality. All persons who have participated in a Lisle program are considered
members as well as others who by their request are included in our directory. The directory currently includes
approximately 1500 individuals, of which about 300 are from outside of the United States.

Board of Directors
Lisle has a Board of Directors which meets twice yearly to conduct the business of the organization. The Board members are
elected to three year terms of office in three "classes" so that no more than 1/3 of the board is elected each year.
Nominations for board membership are accepted by the Nominating committee of the board. Board members are elected during
the Annual meeting each year. The organization is always interested in attracting individuals who are prepared to
contribute to helping the organization fulfill on the vision of its founders.

Annual Meeting
Each fall the annual meeting is held in a different location which over time allows for Lislers from many parts of the US to participate.
The schedule usually allows for a Friday evening gathering to share informally with others and to explain the plans for
the weekend. Saturday morning finds the Lislers participating in the annual business meeting of the corporation. In the afternoon
there is often a field trip/deputation to a site or sites in the area where local agency person can share the work that
they are doing to create a more internationally sensitive community. In the evening there is the annual meeting banquet where
great sharing occurs and the Ligon Service Award is presented. On Sunday morning the Board of Directors, including the newly elected
members meet to select the officers for the board and to conduct the business which is on the agenda. Click here for the
