In general our scheduling has been that the board meets on Friday morning and afternoon, the Annual business meeting will be held Saturday morning, with a special visitation/deputation/program in the afternoon. In the evening we will have a special banquet. Then again on Sunday morning the board will meet until noon. Lislers are always welcome at board meetings
Friday is Halloween, so we won't go out, we will have informal sharing in the evening. At Lunch we will do a special presentation at Southwestern University. Plans are being made to attract a university group to invite us to give a presentation about Lisle and the Global Seed Fund. The effort is to attract new young persons to become active in Lisle because of the exciting projects which we are supporting. Dinner will be a BarBQ and campfire with lots of sharing and singing. Bring your voices and stories.Saturday morning is the Annual business meeting with the usual updates on our financial situation, a retelling of the events throughout the year, the election of new board members, and sharing of the plans for the future including the awarding of the new Global Seed Grants for 2008-2009.
For lunch we will have sandwich makings and other goodies. In the afternoon there will be more meetings. In the evening we will take the light rail sysem into Austin. We hope to tour the Whole Foods Headquarters so everyone graze at the various food kiosks. Then we will take the Trolley to the 6th St Music district. Everyone will be free to make their own to tour of the bars and listen to the live music. We will agree to meeting somewhere at sometime to take Light Rail back to Leander.On Sunday the board will meet at Barb's, ending at about noon. After that we would love to take anyone who wants on a picnic/hike (1/2 mile) up the riverbed to see the dinosaur footprints.
